Annapurna Trek - Pt.I

A "life-altering experience" is how one fellow traveler described this circular trek. With monsoon rains due any week, we set off on this 15-day adventure and all went well. Starting at 800m and cresting at 5400m, you quickly leave 'civilization' behind: no roads, no cars, no cell phones, no TV, no noise. An ancient trade route, the trek winds through stunning scenery and dizzying heights, past dozens of quaint stone villages filled with friendly faces. You end each day in the village of your choice, at one of many guesthouses; all serve delicious meals and have decent rooms. It is so good.
