New Zealand (1)

New Zealand is a lovely country, with all the comforts and convenience of home. I was lucky enough to be joined by Miranda and we spent most of the trip with Chris & Cinthia and their sons, Sam and Tristan. With a posh rented car, we filled the boot with camping gear and drove a 4500km circuit around both islands. Highlights included beautiful beaches and coastline, great hikes, a super kayaking trip, the Cadbury chocolate factory, star-filled nights, crashing surf, glaciers, rugby, wine, passion fruit ice cream, volcanoes, fresh fruit, and the best picnic lunches with avocado, cheese, tomato, and lemon-pepper tuna sandwiches (usually balanced on the dashboard).
